A Resource Guide for Live and Tabletop Roleplaying Games set in the 1920s,
including Lovecraftian Horror and Gangster Genre Games.
The 1930's

Few decades have a neat a breaking point as the 1920s. In Ocotber of 1929 the Stock Market crashed, and by the first quarter of 1930 the country was in a depression.  Even so, much of the research that is valid for the 20s holds true for the 30s as well. As with the other supplemental pages, this page cannot provide comprehensive coverage of the 30s, but focuses on sources of use to gamers. The Second World War Started in 1939, and WWII links will generally appear here.

      Film Noir

A summary of the classic films of the Film Noir genre, mostly from the 1940s.
      Remniscences of the Great Depression
Personal accounts of life in the Depression.
      Timeline of the Great Depression
The seminal event of the 1930s
      A Visit to Peenemünde Today
This is really apropos to the 40s, but the German Rocket program is certainly of interest to anyone running an espionage campaign set just before the Second World War.
